Field visit to Al-Samawah Central Prison

Under the patronage of the Justice Network for Prisoners  and funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid, Al-Risala for Human Rights carried out a field visit to Al-Samawah Central Prison on October 23, 2025. The visit aimed to assess the legal and humanitarian conditions within the prison and discuss ways to implement the minimum standards for the treatment of prisoners. An agreement was reached with the prison administration to follow up on the recommendations through upcoming periodic visits.
