بالتعاون مع شبكة العدالة للسجناء ,و بتمويل من منظمة الشعب النرويجي (NPA) قامت منظمة حقوق الانسان في كوردستان بزيارة تفقدية الى اصلاحية الاحداث والنساء في دهوك و بتاريخ 26/11/2023.
المحامي حمدي برواري مدير منظمة حقوق الانسان في كوردستان تحدث عن تفاصيل هذه الزيارة بالقول :
“قمنا بزيارة الميدانية للاصلاحية الاحداث والنساء في دهوك وذلك بهدف الاطلاع على احوالهم والظروف التي يعيشون فيها، والتقينا مع الباحثة النفسية (سناء فتاح حسن) للوقوف على النشاطات التي تقدم للنزلاء كما التقينا باحدى النزلاء من النساء والاحداث الذين تحدثوا عن الخدمات والدورات التدريبية المهنية التي توفرها ادارة الاصلاحية لهم والمعاملة التي يتعاملونهم بها ناهيك عن الطعام والشراب الذي يقدم اليهم والزيارات التي تنظم لهم”
واوضح برواري انهم خلال زيارتهم تحدثوا مع الاداريين واحدى المودوعات بالاصلاحية ومعرفة سبب مشاكلهم وكيفية معالجتها ، وايضا تم توجيه اليهم مجموعة من الاسئلة الاخرى حسب الاستمارة الخاصة بالزيارة والتي احضرتها شبكة العدالة للسجناء وتكونت من 106 سؤال وكانت يدور حول النزلاء والمودعين من جميع النواحي القانونية والحياة التي يقضونها هناك ، للوقوف عن كثب على الظروف التي يعيشها نزلاء الاصلاحية”
وبين المحامي حمدي عبدالباقي ان هذه الزيارات تاتي ضمن اطار نشاطات تقوم بها منظمة حقوق الانسان مع شبكة العدالة للسجناء في العراق ضمن مشروع ( تعزيز حقوق الانسان في السجون العراقية ) .
جدير بالاشارة ان محافظة دهوك تضم اصلاحيتين إحداهما خاصة بالكبار وهي مديرية اصلاحية زركا والمعروفة بأسم سجن زركا والثانية خاصة بالاحداث والنساء وتسمى مديرية اصلاحية أيتوت وتقع في قرية أيتوت وأيضا معروفة بأسم سجن ايتوت.
In collaboration with the Justice Network for Prisoners, the Human Rights Organization in Kurdistan conducted an inspection visit to the Events and Women’s Correctional Facility in Dohuk on November 26, 2023. Attorney Hamdi Barwari, the director of the Human Rights Organization in Kurdistan, spoke about the details of this visit, saying:
“We conducted a field visit to the Events and Women’s Correctional Facility in Dohuk with the aim of understanding their conditions and the circumstances in which they live. We met with the psychologist (Sanaa Fattah Hassan) to learn about the activities provided to the inmates. We also met with one of the female inmates and events who spoke about the services and professional training courses provided by the management of the correctional facility. They shared their experiences regarding the treatment they receive, in addition to the food, drinks, and organized visits.”
Barwari explained that during their visit, they spoke with administrators and one of the wardens in the correctional facility to understand the reasons for their problems and how to address them. They were also asked a series of other questions based on the visit questionnaire provided by the Justice Network for Prisoners, consisting of 106 questions. The questions revolved around the legal and living aspects of the inmates and detainees to closely assess the conditions they experience in the correctional facility.
Attorney Hamdi Abdulbaqi added that these visits are part of the activities carried out by the Human Rights Organization in collaboration with the Justice Network for Prisoners in Iraq under the project “Enhancing Human Rights in Iraqi Prisons.”
It’s worth noting that Dohuk Governorate includes two correctional facilities, one for adults known as Zarka Correctional Directorate and the other for events and women known as Aitut Correctional Directorate, located in the village of Aitut, also known as Aitut Prison.
