The “Donate a Book” campaign moves to Al-Samawah

In implementation of the “Donate a Book” campaign launched by the Justice Network  for Prisoners  to support libraries in Iraqi prisons and enhance rehabilitation and reform programs, the Al-Risala Organization for Human Rights, in cooperation with the Women’s Rights Center in Al-Samawah, organized a field visit on December 23rd. The visit included coordinators of the Network in Al-Muthanna Governorate, in cooperation with the High Commission for Human Rights / Al-Muthanna Office, to Al-Samawah Central Prison. A meeting was held with the prison director, and (400) diverse books were delivered, donated by Al-Muthanna University, Al-Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq Private University, Sawa Private University, the Justice for Prisoners Network, and Dar Al-Badiya Publishing, alongside contributions from a number of activists and organizations. This step was welcomed by the prison administration, which emphasized its importance in raising cultural and legal awareness and supporting reform and rehabilitation efforts.
