First Day of “Health Week” Launched in Sulaymaniyah Reformotories

Today, the activities of “Health Week” were launched in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, organized by the Justice Network for Prisononers and donated by NPA  with the aim of enhancing healthcare and paying attention to the health conditions of inmates in correctional institutions.

The first day of the campaign featured a press conference held at the Women’s, Juvenile, and Adult Reformotory in Sulaymaniyah, attended and participated in by a number of health and humanitarian entities and institutions, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Social Reform, the Directorate of Health, and the People’s Rescue Organization, along with several companies, hospitals, and health institutions participating in the campaign.

The first day’s activities included conducting medical check-ups for inmates at the Adult Reformotory, carried out by medical teams from the participating companies and hospitals, aimed at providing medical services and identifying health conditions requiring follow-up and care.

Proteam also participated in the campaign by carrying out fogging and disinfection operations at the Women’s and Juvenile Correctional Facility, as part of preventive measures aimed at providing a healthy and safe environment for female inmates, juveniles, and staff within the facility.

This campaign comes as part of the Justice Network for the prisoners efforts to promote the right to health within correctional institutions and to support cooperation and coordination between government entities, health institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector, contributing to the improvement of the level of health services provided to inmates.

انطلاق اليوم الأول من «الأسبوع الصحي» في إصلاحيات السليمانية

انطلقت اليوم في محافظة السليمانية فعاليات «الأسبوع الصحي»، الذي تنفذه شبكة العدالة للسجناء بهدف تعزيز الرعاية الصحية والاهتمام بالأوضاع الصحية للنزلاء في المؤسسات الإصلاحية.

وشهد اليوم الأول من الحملة تنظيم مؤتمر صحفي في إصلاحية النساء والأحداث والكبار في السليمانية، بحضور ومشاركة عدد من الجهات والمؤسسات الصحية والإنسانية، وبالتعاون مع المديرية العامة للإصلاح الاجتماعي، ومديرية الصحة، ومنظمة النجدة الشعبية، إلى جانب عدد من الشركات والمستشفيات والمؤسسات الصحية المشاركة في الحملة.

وتضمنت فعاليات اليوم الأول إجراء فحوصات طبية للنزلاء في إصلاحية الكبار، من خلال الفرق الطبية التابعة للشركات والمستشفيات المشاركة، بهدف تقديم الخدمات الطبية والكشف عن الحالات الصحية التي تحتاج إلى متابعة ورعاية.

كما شاركت شركة Proteam في الحملة من خلال تنفيذ أعمال تعفير وتعقيم إصلاحية النساء والأحداث، في إطار الإجراءات الوقائية الرامية إلى توفير بيئة صحية وآمنة للنزيلات والأحداث والعاملين داخل الإصلاحية.

وتأتي هذه الحملة ضمن جهود شبكة العدالة للسجناء لتعزيز الحق في الصحة داخل المؤسسات الإصلاحية، ودعم التعاون والتنسيق بين الجهات الحكومية والمؤسسات الصحية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني والقطاع الخاص، بما يسهم في تحسين مستوى الخدمات الصحية المقدمة للنزلاء
