Day Two of the Health Week in Sulaymaniyah Governorate

As part of the ongoing activities of the Health Week in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, the Justice Network for Prisoners  continued its humanitarian programs on August 10, 2026. The second day witnessed the implementation of a comprehensive package of health and relief initiatives targeting inmates in various correctional facilities.

With support from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) , integrated health baskets were distributed, along with mattresses and blankets, to the inmates of the women’s and juvenile Reformotory . This step aims to provide their basic needs and improve living standards within the wards.

On the medical front, the mobile medical team affiliated with Anwar Sheikha Hospital began delivering its clinical services, with a specialist physician assigned to the adult Reformotory . This aims to enhance the healthcare provided and ensure regular check-ups for inmates, contributing to the early detection and follow-up of health issues.

In the area of improving the internal environment, DHRD Organization took the initiative to provide sanitizers and cleaning materials, and implemented a comprehensive cleaning campaign inside the adult correctional facility. This helped create a healthy and clean environment that preserves the dignity of inmates and reduces the risk of diseases.

Pioneer Company for Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies also played a prominent role by providing the necessary medications and medical supplies. These were distributed according to the actual needs of the inmates, following careful review by the medical team, thus serving as a complementary link to the efforts of all parties participating in this Health Week.

اليوم الثاني من الأسبوع الصحي في محافظة السليمانية

في إطار استمرار فعاليات الأسبوع الصحي لمحافظة السليمانية، واصلت شبكة العدالة للسجناء نشاطاتها الإنسانية بتاريخ 10 آب/أغسطس 2026، حيث شهد اليوم الثاني تنفيذ حزمة من البرامج الصحية والإغاثية استهدفت النزلاء والنزيلات في مختلف الإصلاحيات.

وبدعم من منظمة أطباء بلا حدود (MSF)، تم توزيع سلال صحية متكاملة، بالإضافة إلى الدواشك والبطانيات على نزلاء إصلاحية النساء والأحداث، في خطوة تهدف إلى توفير احتياجاتهم الأساسية ورفع مستوى المعيشة داخل الأقسام.

وعلى الصعيد الطبي، شرع الفريق الطبي الجوال التابع لمستشفى أنور شيخا بتقديم خدماته السريرية، مع تخصيص طبيب اختصاصي لإصلاحية الكبار، بهدف تعزيز الرعاية الصحية المقدمة وتوفير الفحص الدوري للنزلاء، مما يسهم في الكشف المبكر عن المشكلات الصحية ومتابعتها.

وفي مجال تحسين البيئة الداخلية، بادرت منظمة DHRD إلى توفير المعقمات ومواد التنظيف، ونفذت حملة شاملة للنظافة داخل إصلاحية الكبار، أسهمت في خلق وسط صحي ونظيف يحفظ كرامة النزلاء ويحد من مخاطر الأمراض.

كما كان لـ شركة بايونير للأدوية والأدوات الطبية دورٌ بارز، إذ قامت بتوفير الأدوية والمستلزمات الطبية اللازمة، وتم توزيعها وفق احتياجات النزلاء الفعلية، بعد مراجعة دقيقة من الفريق الطبي، لتكون بذلك حلقة مكملة لجهود جميع الأطراف المشاركة في هذا الأسبوع الصحي.
