Consultative Session on the “Alternative Punishments Bill”

The Justice Network for Prisoners held a consultative session on the draft Alternative Punishments Bill through the Investigator  Organization for the Rule of Law, with funding from the Norwegian People’s Aid organization.

The session was attended by (judges, public prosecutors, lawyers, civil society organizations, international organizations, and human rights civil activists).

There were several recommendations from the participants regarding improving the draft of the Alternative Punishments Bill. The participants also emphasized that the activation of this law would yield positive results for both the government and the inmates.
