“Alternatives to Violence”: Erbil Training Promotes Peaceful Conflict Resolution in the Corrections Sector

Erbil – Justice Network for The Prisoners’, in cooperation with the Forum ZFD organization and the Directorate of Social Reform, organized a three-day training course entitled “Alternatives to Violence,” from 13 to 15 October 2026. The training focused on strengthening skills in peaceful conflict resolution and peacebuilding, adopting alternative methodologies in dealing with daily challenges away from violence, in addition to developing the practical skills of workers in the corrections and prisons sector. The training provided a platform for exchanging expertise among participants, thereby enhancing shared understanding of the importance of applying humane practices that preserve the dignity of inmates and support their rehabilitation, as part of efforts aimed at supporting reformative justice and protecting human rights.

أربيل – نظّمت شبكة العدالة للسجناء بالتعاون مع منظمة Forum ZFD ومديرية الإصلاح الاجتماعي دورة تدريبية بعنوان “بدائل العنف”، وذلك على مدى ثلاثة أيام من 13 إلى 15 تشرين الأول 2026. ركّز التدريب على تعزيز مهارات الحل السلمي للنزاعات وبناء السلام، واعتماد منهجيات بديلة في التعامل مع التحديات اليومية بعيداً عن العنف، إضافة إلى تطوير المهارات العملية للعاملين في قطاع الإصلاحيات والسجون. وشكّل التدريب منصة لتبادل الخبرات بين المشاركين، بما يعزز الفهم المشترك لأهمية تطبيق ممارسات إنسانية تصون كرامة النزلاء وتدعم إعادة تأهيلهم، ضمن الجهود الرامية إلى دعم العدالة الإصلاحية وحماية حقوق الإنسان.
