A session on the Alternative Sentencing Law

The Justice Network for Prisoners held a consultative session on the Alternative Punishment Law Project through the Al-Muhaqiq Organization for the Rule of Law, with funding from the Norwegian People’s Aid Organization.

Participants in this session included (judges, public prosecutors, lawyers, civil society organizations, international organizations, and human rights civil activists).

There were several recommendations from the participants regarding improving the draft of the Alternative Punishment Law, and the participants also affirmed that activating this law would have a positive outcome for both the government and the inmates.
