Visit to the Juvenile Observation Home – Nineveh

Within the framework of implementing Justice Network for the Prisonores , funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid, and in cooperation with the Public Aid Organization (PAO) in Nineveh, a visit was made to the Juvenile Observation Home for Males in Nineveh, affiliated with the Iraqi Ministry of Justice, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, as part of the project to promote human rights in Iraqi prisons.

The organization’s team was received by the director of the home, Mr. Rabee Talal Atiya Al-Hamdani, and the working staff. A meeting was held addressing the current situation of the home, its capacity, the actual number of juveniles, the services provided to them, and their most prominent needs. In conclusion, observations and suggestions were presented to improve the condition of the home. The visit resulted in completing the interview, filling out the form, and obtaining the required information.
