visit to the Adult Reformotory

On May 29, 2026, the People’s Organization for Development conducted a field visit to the Adult Reformotory in Sulaymaniyah, as part of the project “Enhancing Human Rights in Iraqi Prisons.” The visit aimed to assess the living conditions and basic rights of male detainees, with a particular focus on healthcare services and the facility’s infrastructure. The visit was carried out with the support of the Norwegian People’s Aid and in collaboration with the Justice Network for Prisoners’ .
