Visit the Women’s and Juvenile Reformatory Directorate in Dohuk

A field visit was conducted to the Women’s and Juvenile Reformatory Directorate in Dohuk Governorate on June 30, 2026, as part of the activities of the project “Enhancing Human Rights in Iraqi Prisons.” The visit was organized by the  Kurdistan Human Rights Organization, in cooperation with the  Justice Network for Prisoners’, and funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid Organization. The aim was to monitor the conditions of the reformatory institution, enhance transparency and respect for human rights, assess the reality of services provided to female detainees and juveniles, and ensure the application of international standards for legal, psychological, and social protection within the institution.

تم تنفيذ زيارة ميدانية إلى مديرية إصلاحية النساء والأحداث في محافظة دهوك بتاريخ 30 يونيو 2026، وذلك في إطار أنشطة مشروع “تعزيز حقوق الإنسان في السجون العراقية” . وقد نظم الزيارة منظمة حقوق الإنسان في كردستان بالتعاون مع شبكة العدالة للسجناء وبتمويل من منظمة مساعدات الشعب النرويجي، بهدف رصد أوضاع المؤسسة الإصلاحية وتعزيز الشفافية واحترام حقوق الإنسان، والوقوف على واقع الخدمات المقدمة للنزيلات والأحداث، وضمان تطبيق المعايير الدولية في الحماية القانونية والنفسية والاجتماعية داخل المؤسسة.
