On the morning of Monday, August 31, 2026, the second day of the “Health Week” campaign was launched. The campaign is implemented by the ‘ Justice Network for Prisoners, funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid organization through the network’s partner, the Mizan Center for the Rule of Law, at the Women and Juveniles Correctional Facility in Babil Governorate.
The second day featured a package of diverse activities aimed at improving the health and living conditions of the female inmates, as follows:

Justice Network for Prisoners’ / Mizan Center: Delivered blood pressure, blood sugar, and oxygen measuring devices to the prison administration, followed by the delivery of disability aids and personal supplies for inmates with special needs. The library was then stocked with books and cultural resources. Finally, children’s toys, notebooks, and coloring pens were distributed to the children of the inmates to foster a positive psychological atmosphere.
-
Ministry of Health (Dr. Ali Salman and Dr. Ivan Thamer Abd Al-Zahra): Conducted comprehensive health check-ups for the inmates, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and oxygen level measurements, through a mobile clinic that continued until 1:00 PM.
