Memorial Session for Nelson Mandela and Awards Ceremony for Defenders of Prisoners’ Rights

Within the project for improving the conditions of human rights for prisoners and detainees in Iraq, implemented by the Justice Network for Prisoners  (JNP) and funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), the Noor Al-Rahma Human Rights Organization held a festival in cooperation with the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights on October 9, 2025, in the Commission’s conference hall.

The festival included a memorial session for the figure of Nelson Mandela, a symbol of the struggle for freedom and justice, in addition to honoring the most prominent defenders of prisoners’ rights for the year 2025, affirming the values of peace and human dignity.
