A visit to Basra Central Prison

On September 30, 2025, the Mayameen Foundation conducted a field visit to the Juvenile Police Center in Basra Governorate. The visit was sponsored by the Justice Network for Prisoners  and funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid, under the program “Improving Human Rights in Prisons and Detention Centers.” The visit aimed to observe the center’s conditions and evaluate the services provided to juveniles.

During the visit, ways to develop working mechanisms and enhance cooperation between the center and relevant organizations were discussed.
