مؤسسة الهدى للدراسات الاستراتيجية وبالتعاون مع شبكة العدالة للسجناء ومفوضية حقوق الإنسان في ميسان تنظم سيمنار حول حقوق السجناء.

بحضور السيدة ( فاطمة العقابي) رئيس لجنة حقوق الإنسان في مجلس محافظة ميسان والاستاذ احمد ستوري مدير مفوضية حقوق الإنسان في ميسان نظمت مؤسسة الهدى للدراسات الاستراتيجية وبالتعاون مع منظمة العدالة للسجناء ومفوضية حقوق الإنسان في محافظة ميسان سيمناراً حول حقوق السجناء والمحتجزين وحاضر فيه المدرب الدولي ( حيدر عبد فلحي البطاط) الذي تناول محور اتصال السجناء بالعالم الخارجي والمواد القانونية بموجب القواعد الدولية والضمانات الوطنية ذات الصلة بقواعد مانيدلا والخاصة بحق الإتصال للسجناء والمحتجزين وبكل انواعها من المراسلة عبر الرسائل او الاتصال بواسطة وسائل الاتصال الالكترونية وحق مشاهدة التلفاز ومطالعة الصحف ومذاكرة الكتب والزيارات من قبل ذوي المحتجز والنزيل، مؤكداً على ان هذا الحق يشمل الجنسين ذكور وأناث وبدون تميز، مشيراً الى الاشخاص الاجانب المحتجزين وحقهم في اتاحة الاتصال ببعثاتهم الدبلوماسية وتهيئة المترجم في حالة عدم اجادتهم اللغة العربية ، مطالباً بتحقيق العدالة في هذا الأمر والابتعاد عن التمييز بين الأشخاص مهما كانت صفتهم ، وشارك في النشاط الاستاذ( محسن البطاط) ممثل عن مكتب مجلس النواب في ميسان وممثلين من سجن العمارة المركزي وعن عدد من مراكز الاحتجاز في المحافظة واشترك الحضور بالنقاش وطرح عدد من القضايا التي تساهم في الحد من التحديات التي تواجه حرية السجناء في اماكن احتجازهم ، وفي ختام السيمنار قدمت مؤسسة الهدى للدراسات الاستراتيجية الشكر والتقدير للحضور على مشاركتهم الفاعلة والمهمة في الدفاع عن حقوق الإنسان.
The Huda Foundation for Strategic Studies, in collaboration with the Justice Network for Prisoners and the Human Rights Commission in Maysan, organized a seminar on prisoners’ rights.
On 24/4/2024, in the presence of Mrs. Fatima Al-Aqabi, Chair of the Human Rights Committee in the Maysan Provincial Council, and Mr. Ahmed Stouri, Director of the Human Rights Commission in Maysan, the Huda Foundation for Strategic Studies, in cooperation with the Justice Network for Prisoners and the Human Rights Commission in Maysan Province, organized a seminar on the rights of prisoners and detainees. The seminar was attended by international trainer Haider Abdul Falahi Al-Battah, who addressed the axis of prisoners’ communication with the outside world and legal provisions under international rules and national guarantees related to Mandela’s rules, specifically regarding the right of communication for prisoners and detainees in all its forms, including correspondence through letters or contact via electronic means, the right to watch television, read newspapers, study books, and receive visits from relatives of detainees and inmates, emphasizing that this right includes both genders without discrimination. He also pointed out the rights of foreign detainees to contact their diplomatic missions and provide translators if they do not speak Arabic, demanding justice in this matter and avoiding discrimination against individuals regardless of their status.
Mr. Mohsen Al-Battah, representing the Office of the Parliament in Maysan, and representatives from Al-Amara Central Prison and several detention centers in the province, participated in the activity. The attendees engaged in discussions and raised several issues aimed at reducing the challenges facing the freedom of prisoners in their places of detention.
At the end of the seminar, the Huda Foundation for Strategic Studies expressed gratitude and appreciation to the attendees for their active and important participation in defending human rights.
