The health campaign was launched at the Central Samawa Prison on the morning of August 23, 2026, with the attendance of officials from the Ministry of Interior, the governorate, Al-Muthanna University, and the media, along with partners from organizations and volunteer teams. The conference opened with welcoming speeches from the prison director and the head of Al-Risala Organization, followed by the official announcement of the campaign’s commencement, In coopration with Justice Network for Prisoners and donated by NPA
Key activities carried out:

Coordination Meeting: Held with the administration and medical staff (dermatologists, dentists, and internal medicine specialists) to discuss working mechanisms and assess needs.

Medical Examinations: Conducted by the Uruk Volunteer Team, covering 70 inmates. Nine cases of high blood pressure were detected requiring treatment adjustments, and they will be re-examined next Wednesday.

Psychological Support Workshop: Conducted by the head of the Psychological Support Unit at the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, which received positive interaction from the inmates.

Physical Exercise Workshop: Presented by a volunteer from the Builders of Tomorrow Team, focusing on the importance of exercise in releasing negative energy.

Delivery of Hygiene Supplies: Al-Risala Organization handed over cleaning agents, sanitizers, undergarments, and waste bags to the prison administration, and they were officially received.
