Towards Better Rehabilitation: A Look Inside a Juvenile Reform Institution

On October 16, 2025, funded by the Norwegian People’s Aids Organization and sponsored by Justice Network for the Prisoners‘, the Iraqi Center for Humanitarian Activities carried out an assessment visit to the Boys’ Section of the Juvenile Reform Department in Baghdad city. The one-day activity focused on a direct observation of the conditions of 208 convicted juveniles housed in the institution.

The visit resulted in an agreement with the institution’s administration for future cooperation, including coordinating rehabilitation programs and providing aftercare.
