Prepration meeting -Babil Health Campaign

The Justice Network for Prisoners’ , through its representative in Babil, the Mizan Center for Supporting the Rule of Law, held a consultative meeting at the office of the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights in Babil on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. This meeting was convened to activate joint cooperation agreements between the two parties and to discuss mechanisms for implementing the “Hope Health Campaign,” which will target the women’s prison in Hilla and last for five days. The meeting was chaired by the Director of the Commission’s office, Mr. Ahmed Al-Attar, with the participation of the Head of the Health Committee in the Provincial Council, Dr. Hussein Al-Dahmoushi, the Director of the Women’s Prison, representatives from the Men’s Prison, Assistant Legal Consultant Abdul Hassan Al-Khafaji, and the Criminal Justice File Officer, Mr. Imad Al-Jubouri, in addition to the Women Peacebuilders team affiliated with the Mizan Center. Al-Attar affirmed the Commission’s commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at improving human rights and living conditions in Iraqi prisons.

عقدت شبكة العدالة للسجناء، عبر ممثلها في بابل مركز الميزان لدعم حكم القانون، اجتماعاً تشاورياً في مكتب المفوضية العليا لحقوق الإنسان في بابل يوم الثلاثاء 18 أغسطس 2026، وذلك تفعيلاً لاتفاقيات التعاون المشتركة بين الطرفين، لمناقشة آليات تنفيذ حملة الأمل الصحية التي ستستهدف سجن النساء في الحلة وتستمر خمسة أيام، وقد ترأس الاجتماع مدير مكتب المفوضية السيد أحمد العطار، بمشاركة رئيس اللجنة الصحية في مجلس المحافظة الدكتور حسين الدهموشي، ومديرة سجن النساء، وممثلين عن سجن الرجال، والمستشار القانوني المساعد عبد الحسن الخفاجي، ومسؤول ملف العدالة الجنائية السيد عماد الجبوري، إضافة إلى فريق رائدات السلام النسوي التابع لمركز الميزان، وأكد العطار حرص المفوضية على دعم كل الجهود الرامية لتحسين الأوضاع الحقوقية والحياتية في السجون العراقية.
