Preparatory meeting for the “Health Week” campaign in Erbil reformatories

Mr. Ahsan Abdulrahman Baban, Director General of the General Directorate of Social Reform, and Mr. Sanger Khidr, Executive Director of  Justice Network the Prisoners, hosted today, Wednesday, September 23, 2026, a preparatory meeting for the “Health Week” campaign scheduled to be implemented in the reformatories of Erbil Governorate, in the meeting hall of the General Directorate of Social Reform.

The meeting was attended by the Director of Women’s and Children’s Reform in Erbil, the Director of Adult Reform in Erbil, and the Director of the Planning Department at Justice Network the Prisoners’, along with representatives of a number of companies and medical, pharmaceutical, and dental entities and drug manufacturing companies.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the preparations and requirements necessary for implementing the campaign, as well as examining plans, programs, and mechanisms of coordination and work among the participating parties, in a way that contributes to providing the best health services and care for inmates in the reformatories of Erbil Governorate.

The attendees emphasized the importance of joint coordination and good preparation to ensure the implementation of the campaign in the required manner and the achievement of its health and humanitarian objectives.

اجتماع تحضيري لحملة «أسبوع الصحة» في إصلاحيات أربيل

استقبل السيد أحسن عبدالرحمن بابان، المدير العام للمديرية العامة للإصلاح الاجتماعي، والسيد سەنگەر خدر، المدير التنفيذي لشبكة العدالة للسجناء، اليوم الأربعاء الموافق 23 أيلول 2026، اجتماعاً تحضيرياً لحملة «أسبوع الصحة» المقرر تنفيذها في إصلاحيات محافظة أربيل، وذلك في قاعة الاجتماعات التابعة للمديرية العامة للإصلاح الاجتماعي. وشهد الاجتماع حضور مدير إصلاح النساء والأطفال في أربيل، ومدير إصلاح الكبار في أربيل، ومدير قسم التخطيط في شبكة العدالة للسجناء، إلى جانب ممثلي عدد من الشركات والجهات الطبية والصيدلانية وطب الأسنان وشركات تصنيع الأدوية. وناقش المشاركون خلال الاجتماع الاستعدادات والمتطلبات اللازمة لتنفيذ الحملة، فضلاً عن بحث الخطط والبرامج وآليات التنسيق والعمل بين الجهات المشاركة، بما يسهم في توفير أفضل الخدمات والرعاية الصحية للنزلاء في إصلاحيات محافظة أربيل. وأكد الحاضرون أهمية التنسيق المشترك والاستعداد الجيد لضمان تنفيذ الحملة بالشكل المطلوب وتحقيق أهدافها الصحية والإنسانية.
