Inspection Visit to Basra Central Prison

As part of the health campaign dedicated to prisons, Al-Taqwa Association for Women’s and Children’s Rights, in cooperation with the Justice Network for Prisoners and with the support of the Norwegian People’s Aid organization, conducted a field visit to Basra Central Prison on August 6, 2025.

During the meeting with the prison administration, the health conditions were assessed, and the most critical medical needs were identified. This visit comes as part of ongoing efforts to improve health conditions in prisons, as the association works to provide necessary support in coordination with the relevant authorities to address existing challenges.

في إطار الحملة الصحية المخصصة للسجون، قامت جمعية التقوى لحقوق المرأة والطفل بالتعاون مع شبكة العدالة للسجناء وبدعم من منظمة مساعدات الشعب النرويجي بزيارة ميدانية لسجن البصرة المركزي بتاريخ 6 أغسطس 2025.

خلال اللقاء مع إدارة السجن، تم تقييم الوضع الصحي والوقوف على أهم الاحتياجات الطبية. تأتي هذه الزيارة ضمن جهود مستمرة لتحسين الظروف الصحية في السجون، حيث تعمل الجمعية على توفير الدعم اللازم بالتنسيق مع الجهات المعنية لمعالجة التحديات القائمة
