Final Conference of the Weekly Health Campaign at Samawah Central Prison

On September 9, 2026, the closing conference of the weekly health campaign was held at Samawah Central Prison in the hall of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, implemented by’ Justice Network the Prisoners, funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid organization, and through the Al-Risala Organization for Human Rights.
The conference was attended by volunteer teams, partner organizations, the prison administration, the Muthanna Health Department, and the health center’s staff. It began with a Quranic recitation, the reading of Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs, and the national anthem. Dr. Majid Al-Jayashi, President of Al-Risala Organization, then delivered a speech in which he reviewed the campaign’s phases, challenges, results, and success stories, and recommended continuing the campaign, increasing medical support, and enhancing coordination.
Speakers from the Red Crescent Society, the prison administration, and Muthanna Health praised the campaign and described it as the first of its kind in the province, affirming their readiness for future cooperation. Among the most notable outcomes: the Red Crescent donated an RO water desalination unit, the Muthanna Central Warehouse donated an electric dental chair, and medicines were donated to the prison health center.
The conference concluded with the distribution of participation and appreciation certificates to the teams, organizations, and government bodies. A delegation from the Muthanna Health Department then visited to extend thanks and present appreciation certificates to its Director-General and his assistants.
