Field Visit to the Juvenile Section – Girls’ Section in Kirkuk Governorate

Within the framework of the project to promote human rights in Iraqi prisons, implemented by the Prisoners’ Justice Network and funded by Norwegian People’s Aid, the Popular Relief Organization conducted a field visit to the Juvenile Section – Girls’ Section in Kirkuk Governorate on 21/9/2026. The visit aimed to review the situation of juveniles and their detention conditions, and to monitor the availability of basic human rights standards, care, and protection within the correctional institution, as part of efforts to support human rights principles, enhance monitoring and follow-up, and identify the needs and challenges facing juveniles in Reforomtories centers.

في إطار مشروع تعزيز حقوق الإنسان في السجون العراقية، الذي تنفذه شبكة العدالة للسجناء وبتمويل من منظمة مساعدات الشعب النرويجي، قامت منظمة النجدة الشعبية بزيارة ميدانية إلى قسم الأحداث – قسم الفتيات في محافظة كركوك بتاريخ 21/9/2026، للاطلاع على أوضاع الأحداث وظروف احتجازهم، ومتابعة توفر المعايير الأساسية لحقوق الإنسان والرعاية والحماية داخل المؤسسة الإصلاحية، ضمن جهود دعم مبادئ حقوق الإنسان وتعزيز الرصد والمتابعة والتعرف على الاحتياجات .والتحديات التي تواجه الأحداث في مراكز الإصلاح
