General attorney’s role in protection of prisoners
A report on the topic of (General attorney’s role in protection of
prisoners) which was presented in the program (Novar) on Duhok
local TV on 17/Sep/2023 at 07:00 PM. The program was presented
by lawyers and it was about the duties and responsibilities of general
attorney in protecting prisoners’ rights during the stages of
investigation, trial and in prison. In this interview, it was revealed
that the general attorney has an important role in monitoring legality
and legitimacy of the procedures taken by investigation officers,
justice investigators and investigative judges, as well as following up
on the legitimacy and legality of the trial sessions in the court, as well
as following up on the conditions of the prisoners during their
sentence serving.
