About JNP Iraq
The Prisoners’ Justice Network, a group of NGO members working in the field of human rights and monitoring the rights of prisoners and detainees in Iraq, established the network to work on the implementation of the Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners impartially, without discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth, or other status, and with respect for the religious beliefs and moral principles of the group to which the prisoner belongs. The network’s headquarters is in Erbil and it operates through partners in all Iraqi governorates. The network’s vision is to adhere to the best principles and practical rules in the treatment of prisoners and prison administration.
