In a step that reflects its commitment to improving the humanitarian conditions of female inmates, the Al-Taqwa Association for Women and Child Rights, in coordination with the administration of Central Basra Prison, organized an art therapy session for female inmates on July 12, 2026, in collaboration with the Justice Network for Prisoners and with funding from the Norwegian People’s Aid.<\/span><\/p>\n

This session, which comes as part of a project to support mental health, aims to empower the inmates to express themselves through visual arts and painting as a means of relieving psychological stress and enhancing mental health. Such activities are considered an important part of rehabilitation and reintegration programs into society.<\/span><\/p>\n
