Under the auspices of the Justice Network for Prisoners and with funding from the Norwegian People’s Aid, the Basma Center for Media Development organized an awareness workshop on the legal rights of detainees and prisoners on June 27, 2025. This event was part of the “Improving Human Rights in Iraqi Detention Centers” project.<\/p>\n
The workshop aimed to educate media professionals and local communities about key legal concepts related to prisoners’ rights and proper procedures for handling arrest and detention cases. This initiative seeks to enhance legal protections for detainees and ensure their treatment aligns with international standards.<\/p>\n
This program represents a continuation of the Justice\u00a0 Network’s for Prisoners efforts, in collaboration with its partners, to promote human rights in detention centers and engage local communities in the reform process.<\/p>\n
