\nThe Human Rights Trainers Association meets with the Advisor to the Prime Minister on Human Rights
\nOn the morning of Monday, June 10, 2024, Dr. Khalaf Zaidan Al-Atwani, the Advisor to the Prime Minister on Human Rights, received a delegation from the Human Rights Trainers Association, a member of the Prisoners’ Justice Network. The delegation presented a paper prepared by the association on alternative penalties. Additionally, they provided an overview of the association’s establishment, the activities it has carried out since its founding, and the certificate of establishment issued by the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations in 2012.
\nThe role of the association in the Prisoners’ Justice Project and its visits to the Ministry of Justice and the Baghdad Human Rights Office to explain the association’s working paper on alternative penalties were also discussed. The Advisor to the Prime Minister on Human Rights welcomed the association’s delegation, commended their role and work in the field of human rights and justice for prisoners, and emphasized the importance of cooperation between the advisors and the association.
