\npresented by a lawyer that is active in this field, she talked
\nabout the capital punishment in Kurdistan, and why it was
\nsuspended, the method of carrying out capital punishment in
\nKurdistan before it was suspended, and the procedures that the
\ngovernment was taking when implementing this sentence, as
\nwell as the question of whether the suspension of capital
\npunishment leads to reducing the crime rate in general. At the
\nend of the session, a conclusion was reached that despite the
\nsuspension of capital punishment in Kurdistan, it did not reduce
\nthe percentage of the crimes that are punishable by death, but
\nnevertheless, suspension of capital punishment was a good
\nstep taken by Kurdistan government for humanitarian
\nconsiderations, as well as the purpose of the punishment is to
\nrehabilitate the convict and not to take revenge on him.<\/p>\n
